Right at 90 teams will take their best swings at the 14u Triple Crown fastpitch World Series in Reno/Sparks/Carson City, Nevada.
The activities began Monday, July 22 with an assortment of camps, clinics, and a team parade – we’ve got a heads-up on a few more diversions to explore when there are a few extra moments off the diamond.
Lake Tahoe – About 40 minutes away, Lake Tahoe is a place of impressive scope and beauty which never gets old. Lake Tahoe makes for an excellent summer getaway thanks to its sprawling beaches, ample boating and fishing opportunities and well-maintained hiking trails.
National Bowling Stadium – Perfect site for some team bonding, the Stadium was designed with the tournament bowler in mind but can be transformed into several configurations to suit any event and is available for private parties, business meetings, and bowling functions.
National Automobile Museum – Car enthusiasts who visited raved about the museum's carefully restored pieces and said they were pleasantly surprised by its range of exhibits and educational value. Many were also quick to comment that the museum appeals to more than just automobile junkies.
Casinos – Chances are the adults in the group will be tempted to slip away at some point for the sparkle and sizzle of the casino life in the area. More than 20 casinos are available to explore.
Animal Ark – This wildlife sanctuary and its dedicated staff help non-releasable wildlife survive in a stunning rural setting. While the Ark focuses mainly on the rescue and rehabilitation of North American predators, several exotic species have found sanctuary at the Ark as well.
